Talented choir students and musical directors won Battlefield and Forest Park High Schools coveted invitations to perform for the Virginia Music Educators Association at the group's annual convention Nov. 17.

Five PWCS students impressed the audition panel for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Honors Choirs to earn invitations to perform at the ACDA convention in Minneapolis in March 2017.

On Nov. 2, Prince William County Police Department investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit filed charges in connection to the fatal crash which occurred in the area of Minnieville Rd and Cheshire Station Plz in Woodbridge on Oct. 25.

Theatre productions from two Prince William County high schools and three county middle schools recently won awards at the theatre festival. Six students were also individually received awards.

Eleanor Wren Sigrest, and eighth grader at Benton Middle School in Prince William County, VA, won the Broadcom MASTERS, a national middle school STEM competition, and a $25,000 prize for STEM Leadership and Innovation.

On Nov. 2, Prince William County police were able to identify the alleged victim involved in the possible abduction at the Wal-Mart on Worth Ave in Woodbridge which occurred on October 28.
