Occoquan begins Concerts at the Mill May 21

The Town of Occoquan's free concert series in River Mill Park kicks off Saturday, May 21, with returning artist Cheley Tackett entertaining listeners with her own brand of Americana music, according to Mayor Earnie Porta.

The Prince William County Arts Council invites the community to attend Poetry and Music Out Loud and In The Park: A Black Music Month Celebration on Sunday, June 5 from 3 - 7 PM at the Jean C. Smith Amphitheater inside Locust Shade Park. The park is located at 4701 Locust Shade Dr., Triangle, VA 22172.

Angelina Seamster to be featured on cello at MSO’s final concert of season

Angelina Seamster, Colgan High School senior, will be the featured cello soloist performing Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in C Major. Miss Seamster participates in the Fine and Performing Arts program at Colgan High School, and has been performing with the MSO since she was in the 8th grade.

Bugler Donna Flory named Prince William County’s Volunteer of the Quarter

Desiree Wolfe, of the Prince William County Office of Executive Management, nominated Donna Flory as PWC Volunteer of the Quarter. The presentation reads in part, “Over the last two decades, Donna has played in various ceremonies and dedications in honor of Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day and 9/11.  Her rendition of ‘Taps’ continues to bring dignity and meaning to these very important events." 

Everyone invited to annual International Cultural Festival in Woodbridge June 21

Woodbridge Potomac Communities Civic Association and Prince William County Supervisor Frank J. Principi announced June 14 that the 3rd Annual International Cultural Festival will be held at 7 p.m., on Thursday, June 21, at the Dr. AJ Ferlazzo Government Center Atrium in Woodbridge. The event is free and open to the public.
