Dr. Sam Hill, the provost for the Woodbridge Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, a position he has held since 2005, has been selected as Grand Marshal for the Lake Ridge Santa Parade on Dec. 12. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Prince William Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Manassas/PW Center for the Arts. He is also a member of the Lake Ridge Rotary Club.

House of Mercy in Manassas will be hosting its fifth annual Christmas with Mercy on Saturday, Dec. 12. The event provides gifts to children who, otherwise, might not receive any this Christmas.
