PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
Brentsville District Supervisor Jeanine Lawson encourages Prince William County residents to participate before Dec. 8 in the public comment process for the proposed Stone Haven development in Brentsville District. Below her comments, Lawson lists differences between the former Stone Haven proposal and the current proposal.
The developer of the Stone Haven property has publicly posted a letter stating it is officially withdrawing its application, according to Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson. That means there will be NO vote tomorrow night and no vote in the future on this Stone Haven project, Lawson said. The supervisor had encouraged the community to be involved in the land development issue.
The second community meeting to discuss elementary boundary changes related to the opening of the “Ferlazzo” Elementary School at 5710 Liberty Hill Court, Woodbridge 22193, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hylton High School Auditorium.
A second public meeting on a proposed PW Parkway Elementary School at Chinn Park will be held on Tuesday Dec. 15, from 7-9 p.m. at Gar-Field High School, 14000 Smoketown Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192
Virginia Attorney General Mark R. Herring has announced a partnership with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) and the Virginia State Bar (VSB) for a series of pro bono Veterans Legal Services Clinics in early March to provide estate planning services to an estimated 100 low-income veterans in the Commonwealth.
The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing, endangered juvenile, Vincent Eugene Boling, who was last seen at his residence located in the 14400 block of Meridan Dr in Woodbridge (22191) around 8:00PM on December 6th.
There were 100 units in the Dec. 5 Greater Manassas Christmas Parade. Ed Asner was the Grand Marshal. Winners were announced in 13 categories ranging from floats to animal entries, bands and marching groups. Awards will be presented on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.
The Manassas Lioness Lions will be conducting a ceremony at the Manassas Cemetery on Center Street, Rt 28S (next to Harley Davidson dealership). It will be on Saturday, Dec, 12 at noon and the community is invited to attend. This is part of wreath-laying ceremonies across the U.S. on Dec. 12 at noon.
