Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Dec. 10 that his budget includes funds for 2 percent pay increases for state employees, college faculty, teachers, sheriff’s deputies and other public workers, effective July 10, 2017. Precautionary evacuation occurred at Gravely Elementary School in Haymarket this morning, Dec. 9, due to a fire alarm signal, according to a media notice from the Prince William County Schools community relations office. Emergency crews are responding. All are safe, the release said.
