Half fares start May 7 on OmniRide commuter buses on I-66

Riders will pay half-fares on OmniRide express buses that travel along the I-66 corridor for the duration of the construction, which is expected to last for four years. The discount applies to Manassas and Gainesville OmniRide express buses serving points in Washington, D.C., the Pentagon, and the Tysons Corner Metro Station.

Passenger identified in this morning’s fatal crash in Gainesville

Investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit have identified the passenger killed in this morning’s fatal crash in Gainesville as Jose Nelvin ROMERO MALDONADO, 38, of Warrenton. The front seat passenger was identified as a 30-year-old man of Warrenton.

Police looking for driver of vehicle involved in crash; one passenger died, one injured

Fatal Crash Investigation – On February 12 at 2:42AM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of James Madison Hwy and Thoroughfare Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a single vehicle crash, according to Sgt. Prince William County school bus driver killed Feb. 5 at McCuin Transportation Center in Bristow

Prince William County Schools issued the following statement this morning, Feb. 5: "We are sad to report that a PWCS bus driver was killed this morning by a bus reportedly backing out of the service bay at McCuin Transportation Center. An investigation is underway. We are withholding the name pending full notification of family members."
