House and Senate General Assembly money committees announced this week that the state budget will include language to study extending Metro’s Blue Line to Lorton, Woodbridge, Potomac Mills, and Quantico along with enhanced transit on U.S. 1 in Prince William County.

On Feb. 17 at 8 p.m., Prince William County police officers responded to the Manassas Mall located at 8300 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a brandishing.

On Feb. 18 at 8:27PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6200 block of Aster Haven Cl. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a suspicious person.

On Feb. 11, detectives with the Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Dumfries (22025) area of Prince William County between May 2011 and November 2012.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On Feb. 17 at 2:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 7400 block of Emerald Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an attempted burglary.

On February 16 at 3:21AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of Kingsbury Ln. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic.

On Feb. 12 at 2:30PM, officers responded to a parking lot area in the 17100 block of Dumfries Rd. in Dumfries (22025) to assist in locating a suspect involved in two separate incidents under investigation by Virginia State Police and Dumfries Town Police. A Prince William County police K-9 responded and searched the area for the suspect which led to a nearby hotel.
