Prince William County Police officers assigned to an off-duty security detail at a carnival on the grounds of Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge heard what sounded like gunfire coming from an area near the entrance to school. The sound caused those attending the carnival to flee en masse, according to First Sergeant Jonathan Perok, public information officer.

Burglary-in-progress: A resident of the home reported to police an unknown man, later identified as the accused, entered the home and attempted to take the family dog.

On Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:56PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the Lake Ridge (22192) area of Prince William County to investigate a rape.

On April 13, following an extensive police investigation and use of a K-9 unit, the School Resource Officer (SRO) obtained detention orders for four juveniles involved in the initial robbery and gun on Rippon Middle School school grounds. Three other juveniles were disciplined by school administration.

On Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 1:20PM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Minnieville Rd and Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a three-vehicle crash. Speed seems to be a factor, police said.
