PWC Police Report for April 15, 2022 - Impatient patron shows gun to teens, mom at car wash

Incidents
• Aggravated Assault –
On April 14, 2022 at 9:26AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a stabbing which was reported to have occurred in the 7200 block of New Market Ct in Manassas (20109) earlier that morning. The investigation revealed the victim, a 29-year-old man, was cut to his hands and face by an apparent bladed object. The victim went to an area hospital for treatment where police were contacted. During the investigation, the victim and a witness to the incident were not cooperative with officers regarding what led up to the injuries or a possible suspect. Officers were able to locate an area at the Days Inn on New Market Ct where the incident was believed to have taken place. Preliminarily, the incident does not appear to be random.

• Malicious Wounding | Residential Burglary – On April 14, 2022 at 8:47PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 9400 block of Westmoreland Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old man, was inside his home when two acquaintances, and unknown man, arrived. A verbal altercation escalated when the victim was assaulted, and the home forcibly entered by the other parties. During the assault, the victim was stuck with a baseball bat. The parties eventually dispersed and left in a vehicle. The argument appears to have stemmed from an ongoing dispute. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the two known suspects, identified as Raymond Eugene DOTSON Jr. and Alexis Shawn BREEDEN. Attempts to locate the suspects have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On April 15, 2022 at 12:19AM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence located in the 3800 block of Graham Park Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 51-year-old man, was assaulted by two acquaintances who then took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim and fled. The victim reported minor injuries. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the two suspects, identified as Michael Phillip LEWIS and Hope Staresha JOHNSON. Attempts to locate the suspects have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.

• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On April 14, 2022 at 7:12AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17400 block of Kagera Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a destruction of property. A resident of the home reported to police earlier that morning, at approximately 3:00AM, a loud noise was heard. Later that morning, multiple bullet holes were observed in the front of the home which entered the residence and struck items in the living room and kitchen. No injuries or other property damage were reported. Multiple shell casings were located in the roadway in front of the residence. Preliminarily, the incident does not appear to be random.

• Brandishing of a Firearm – On April 14, 2022 at 2:50PM, officers responded to the Smart Car Wash located at 13589 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed the victim, a 45-year-old woman, and her two daughters, aged 13 and 14, were waiting in line at the business to have their vehicle washed. While waiting in line, the driver of a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows attempted to pull in front of their vehicle. When the driver was unable to pull in front of the victim’s vehicle, the driver lowered his window, brandished a handgun, and pointed the weapon towards the victim. The victim’s children immediately exited the vehicle and ran into the business to notify employees of the incident. No shots were fired, and no physical contact was made between the parties. The suspect fled the business in the sedan and was not located. The driver was only described as a black male.

• Commercial Burglaries | Stolen Vehicle – On April 15, 2022 at 2:27AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the LLC Pharmacy located at 1690 Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an alarm activation. When officers arrived at the business, the front glass door was found broken out. A police K-9 responded and cleared the business, no suspects were located. Video surveillance showed two men arrived in a white minivan and used large rocks to shatter the glass to make entry into the business. No entry was made into the pharmacy area of the store and no property was immediately determined to be missing.
At approximately 3:08AM, officers responded to the TDS Health Pharmacy located at 4215 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22913) for an alarm activation. Officers determined entry was made into the business in a similar way as the earlier burglary where a large rock was used to shatter the front glass door. A police K-9 responded and cleared the business, no suspects were located. Prescription medication was reported missing. During the investigation, officers located a vehicle on Kentucky Ave that matched the description of the suspect’s vehicle in the first burglary. The vehicle was unoccupied and determined to have been stolen from an address on Pohick Creek Rd sometime after 6:00PM on April 14. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Detectives are asking anyone in the area of Kentucky Ave or Pohick Creek Rd to check their personal surveillance cameras for any suspicious persons around the time of the reported incidents. The investigation continues.

Arrests
Armed Robbery –
On April 14 at 4:14PM, officers responded to the 14400 block of Gideon Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 51-year-old man, was approached by an acquaintance, identified as the accused, outside of a business in the above area. During the encounter, the accused displayed a box-cutter and struck the victim in the face before taking the victim’s property and fleeing on a bicycle. A police K-9 responded to search the area for the accused who was eventually located nearby and detained without incident. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Lawrence WILLIAMS Jr., was arrested.

• Residential Burglary – On April 14, 2022 at 7:02PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Village Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary-in-progress. A resident of the home reported to police an unknown man, later identified as the accused, entered the home and attempted to take the family dog. The resident immediately contacted police as the accused left the residence on foot. Responding officers located the accused walking in the area and detained him without incident. The dog was not injured and returned to the owner. During officer interaction with the accused, it was determined he was under the influence of a narcotics and wanted on other unrelated charges. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Deauntay Alfred BURGESS, was arrested.
