Amy White, former Springwoods principal, now PWC Schools’ Assoc. Supt. for Human Resources

Amy Aviles White, whose roots with Prince William County Schools go back to Vaughan Elementary as a fifth grade teacher and Springwoods Elementary as principal, is the Prince William County School Division’s new Associate Superintendent for Human Resources, effective July 1, according to a news release.

A funeral service for Mary Sandra Moller, high school English teacher in Prince William County Public Schools for 38 years, will be held on Tuesday, June 12, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Lake Ridge on Tuesday, June 12, at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m., on Monday June 11, at Miller Funeral Home in Woodbridge. Burial will be in the family plot in Youngstown, Ohio.

John Cartwright, former city manager of Manassas, dies in Michigan

When John Cartwright arrived in Manassas in 1986, it was the fastest growing city in the commonwealth. In 1999, after managing cities for more than 40 years in five states, Cartwright and his wife C.J. retired back to Traverse City, Michigan to their dream house on Long Lake.
