On February 6, 2017, the Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identification of the human remains found on February 4 in the 1100 block of Marseille Ln in Woodbridge as Alan Cohee.

The “Alternative Education” School Naming Committee will hold a community input session to receive name suggestions for the “Alternative Education” School, also known as “Non-Traditional School,” currently under construction at 14550 Aden Road, in Manassas. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Colgan High School in Manassas.

Sunday, Feb. 5, City of Manassas Fire & Rescue units responded to a fire at an apartment building in the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Court. The fire started on the deck of the top apartment and damaged the exterior walls of both the top floor apartment and the apartment below it. No occupants were hurt in the incident, but the Red Cross is assisting five residents of the two apartments. Committee will explore what Prince William County's Strategic Plan really does in a panel discussion on Feb. 16. Does it reflect the needs and wants of PWC residents, or is it a political tool for a predetermined government agenda? Does it work with the Comprehensive Plan and budget realities?
