On April 29, 2024, the remaining suspect, identified as Patrick DIAZ PINA, who was sought in connection to the assault that was reported on June 12, 2023, was arrested in Fairfax County.
Between April and May of 2015, members of the Northern Virginia/DC Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, including detectives from the Prince William County and Manassas City Police Departments, conducted a proactive operation targeting individuals soliciting minors for sexual acts online.
Manassas City Police reminds residents that Lake Manassas is a drinking water supply and is not open to the public for recreation. The Police Department says it will have extra patrols on duty all season long to ensure that no one trespasses on the lake.

At many farms, cool temperatures in late April delayed this year’s strawberry crop by a couple weeks. But these strawberries will be worth the wait, according to the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS). Cooler conditions can help make the strawberries extra delicious. Many farms are expecting a bumper crop of berries this season.

Margaret Mitchell McLeod Price, a teacher at Stonewall Middle School (now Unity Braxton) in Manassas for 26 years until her retirement in 1999, died Jan. 26, 2024. She was an avid traveler and had visited 49 states and numerous foreign countries.
