At an Oct. 8 press conference, Prince William County Supervisors Jeanine Lawson, Pete Candland and Frank Principi unveiled their plan to suspend the Rural Preservation Study, then introduced the resolution jointly at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors. It is due to be voted on at the next supervisors' meeting.

On September 30, investigating officers obtained additional information that led to the identity of the suspect sought in connection to the brandishing incident that was reported to have occurred in the 13000 block of Fitzwater Dr. in Nokesville (20181) on September 25.

On October 7 at 5:58PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of River Walk Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an indecent exposure. On October 3 at 8:00AM, officers responded to investigate an indecent exposure that was reported to have occurred in the area of Gemini Way and Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that morning and the victim disclosed that she observed the same man the day prior.
