On May 14, 2019, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit arrested the driver, identified as the accused, in connection to a fatal hit & run crash that killed a 17-year-old male in the area of Sudley Rd near Catharpin Rd in Gainesville on Sept. 22, 2018.

The Barnes House has a rich history. Built in 1797 as a tavern, it is one of the county's oldest buildings. It has been moved twice, rebuilt and restored in 2017, and now sits at the Montclair Community Library. With the exhibits inside the house complete, it is ready for visitors.
