The U.S. District Court has ordered an extension to the voter registration deadline for the Nov. 3, 2020, General and Special Elections. Voters may continue to register through Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020.

Crisis Negotiation Team dispatched to Nokesville residence for domestic with weapons

Prince William County Police Department's MPO Renee Carr, police department representative, reported that on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 12:21PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of Leary St. in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a domestic with weapons. While investigating, officers learned there were additional occupants inside the home with the accused at the time of the incident.

Attempted burglary at Bristow Post Office over the weekend

On September 14 at 7:25AM, officers responded to the United States Post Office located at 11151 Valley View Dr. in Bristow (20136) to investigate an attempted burglary.

Postal carrier shot in Woodbridge while delivering mail; unknown masked suspect wore no shoes

On September 14 at 4:49PM, officers responded to the 3500 block of Buffalo Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. The initial investigation revealed that the victim, a 28-year-old man, was delivering mail for the United States Postal Service.

PWC to get $2 million in federal housing funding for needy

Warner and Tim Kaine have announced that Prince William County will receive $2,145,011 of the $35,719,247 in federal funding that will soon be coming to Virginia to support access to safe and affordable housing throughout Virginia, particularly in communities where households face a higher rate of eviction.
