PW Police seek witnesses to fatal crash in Gainesville

On Monday, April 11, 2022 at 12:56PM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Lee Hwy (US 29) just beyond Pageland Ln in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a single vehicle crash.

March 31 “Listening Session” on land use issues in Gainesville District

Gainesville Supervisor Pete Candland has announced a listening session on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. in the Battlefield High School Auditorium (doors open at 6:30). Planning Commission and School Board representatives want input on PW Digital Gateway CPA and the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update and how these land use decisions impact schools.

Two Gainesville juveniles charged with burglary while armed; two others sought by police

On Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 at 5:19PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to The Residences at Somerhill Farms Apartments located in the 7300 block of Yountville Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a home invasion. MPO Renee Carr, public information officer, said the investigation revealed that four male juveniles entered an apartment and brandished a firearm towards residents.
