PWPD Crime Report for Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023: Copper wire missing from NOVEC

ª Aggravated Malicious Wounding *ARREST –
On October 31, 2023 one of the suspects sought in connection with the shooting of a 24-year-old man that was reported to have occurred in the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) on February 6, 2023 was arrested.
While investigating the incident, Prince William County Police Department detectives identified one of the suspects as Hector Adonis REGALDO LANDAVERDE and obtained arrest warrants. On October 30, the accused was taken into custody in Prince George’s County, MD before being extradited to Prince William County the following day. The investigation remains active as detectives attempt to identify the other suspects involved in the incident.

Shooting Investigation [Previously Released] – On February 6 at 10:17PM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed a 24-year-old man was walking in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man who attempted to stab him with a large knife. During the encounter, two additional unknown men approached from a nearby wooded area. The man received a minor laceration while attempting to avoid being stabbed before running from the suspects. While running, the suspects fired multiple rounds, striking the man in the lower body. The man was able to flag down a passing motorist who drove him to a nearby residence where police were contacted. Responding officers provided first aid until fire and rescue personnel arrived on scene. Fire and rescue personnel flew the man to an area hospital where they determined his injuries were non-life threatening. Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. No additional injuries or property damage
were reported. The investigation continues.

• Strangulation | Domestic Related *ARREST – On November 1, 2023 the suspect sought in connection with the domestic-related strangulation that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 13600 block of Lynn St. in Woodbridge (22191) on October 31, was arrested. The accused, identified as Brandon Raymond Marcus HOWARD, was taken into custody without incident.

Strangulation | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On October 31, 2023 at 7:06PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13600 block of Lynn St. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 35-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim causing her head to strike the wall and then grabbed her neck. The parties eventually separated, and the accused left the home prior to police arriving on scene. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Brandon Marcus HOWARD. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

INCIDENTS
• Malicious Wounding –
On November 1, 2023 at 7:42PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 14500 block of Fullerton Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 41-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.
During the encounter, the accused struck the victim multiple times causing her to fall to the floor. Other occupants of the home intervened and separated the parties. The accused fled prior to police arriving on scene. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Keyontae Glenell NEWMAN. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

• Commercial Burglary – On November 1, 2023 at 5:43AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) located at 5399 Wellington Branch Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed earlier that morning, an unknown man entered the property through a section of exterior fence that was found damaged. While inside the property, the suspect took a roll of copper wire before being confronted by an employee. The suspect fled to a vehicle occupied by a second individual and left the area. No entry was made into the main building. A roll of copper wire was reported missing. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’10”, 180lbs., wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and Crocs.
