Adult suspect in May 8 homicide in Gainesville turns self in, PWC Police report

On May 12, 2022 the adult suspect sought in connection to the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Dumfries man, that occurred in the area of the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14000 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155) on May 8, was arrested.

Two Gainesville juveniles charged with burglary while armed; two others sought by police

On Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 at 5:19PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to The Residences at Somerhill Farms Apartments located in the 7300 block of Yountville Dr. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a home invasion. MPO Renee Carr, public information officer, said the investigation revealed that four male juveniles entered an apartment and brandished a firearm towards residents.
