PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

Virginia Department of Transportation will close Compton Road (Route 658) to through traffic between Old Centreville Road and Mount Olive Road (Route 859) Tuesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 11 to allow crews to replace a pipe. The closures will occur from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Mary McGowan has been appointed PWCS Division Counsel, effective July 1. As a PWCS employee, McGowan will soon be able to devote her full attention to Division needs, a news release said.

Ryan Ferrera, previously a social studies teacher at Battlefield High School who moved on to become an assistant principal, has been appointed principal of Battlefeld High School in Haymarket. He will replace Principal Amy Ethridge-Conti who is retiring.
