Discover Prince William & Manassas present annual tourism awards

Discover Prince William & Manassas held its annual National Tourism Week Luncheon & Industry Awards Event on Friday May 6, at the Hylton Performing Arts Center.  The annual industry award ceremony honors the contributions of individuals and organizations to the promotion and development of Prince William & Manassas as a tourism destination.

Guests heard speeches from U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (10th Congressional District of Virginia), Prince William County Supervisor John Jenkins (Neabsco District), and Vice Mayor Jonathan Way (City of Manassas) prior to the delightful keynote address by Carylann Assante, the Executive Director for Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA), who spoke about the importance of the student and youth travel market.

Tourism Leader Award - Charles Friend, General Manager at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, Woodbridge

Stellar Service Award - Ashley Householder, Front Desk Manager at Comfort Inn Dumfries
