Virginia's governor Terry McAuliffe will host his first Cyber-Physical Systems Summit on Sept. 20-22 at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility in Newport News. The purpose of the summit, in conjunction with the National Governors Conference, is to build awareness of the growing challenges associated with securing autonomous systems, critical infrastructure and the Internet of Things.

The 22 Prince William County residents who lost their lives at the Pentagon and at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, will be honored and remembered during a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at 9 a.m. at the Liberty Memorial at the County Government Center in Woodbridge.

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Aug. 16 that KO Distilling will expand its operations in the City of Manassas. The company will create six new jobs in the city and source 100 percent of its corn, wheat, and rye needs from Virginia agricultural producers.
