Prince William Board of County Supervisors has announced the promotion of Michelle Casciato and Chris Price to fill the two vacant Deputy County Executive positions. These became available with the promotion of Christopher Martino to County Executive and the retirement of Susan Roltsch.

Bill Francisco of Francisco Farms, Staunton, will present a 12 ft. Canaan fir Christmas tree to decorate the first floor of the Virginia Governor's Mansion in Richmond. He won the right to donate the tree at this year’s annual meeting of the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association. His tree was selected as Grand Champion, and he will present a similar, fresh tree to First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe.

On Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, Save Our Homes Alliance will address the Manassas City Council about concerns over the eviction of 40+ families from the East End Mobile Home Park. The Alliance is comprised of East End homeowners, Manassas residents and supporters countywide. The Council meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm with citizens time at 7:30 pm.

Scott Albrecht, a 16-year veteran of the School Board of the City of Manassas, was recently honored at the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) state conference, as School Board Member of the Year for the Northeast region. VSBA recognizes one outstanding school board member from each of the nine VSBA regions who exemplifies local involvement in promoting student achievement.

Fatal Crash Investigation – On Monday, November 21 at 11:32PM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Springwoods Dr and Glenridge Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian.
The public is invited to attend a wreath-laying ceremony Dec. 17 at noon at Manassas Cemetery. Local dignitaries, the Manassas City Police Color Guard and bagpipe, and others will present a short program including the laying of the wreaths. This is part of the Wreaths Across America movement.
