Wallet taken in morning robbery with firearm, PWC Police report


Armed Robbery – On May 11 at 9:57AM, officers responded to the 4100 block of Bancroft Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 40-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was in the above area when she was approached from behind by an unknown male brandishing a firearm. During the encounter, the suspect demanded the victim’s property. The suspect then took the victim’s wallet before fleeing the area on foot.  No injuries were reported. Officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect who was not located.
Suspect Description:
Male of an unknown race, between 18 & 20 years of age, 6’00” with a medium build
Last seen wearing a dark face cover, dark hoodie, and blue jeans

Malicious Wounding –
On May 11 at 10:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2500 block of Sedgewick Pl in the Town of Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 26-year-old man of Dumfries, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused cut the victim with a razor blade. The accused was eventually removed from the residence when he kicked open the door and attempted to go back inside. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
