PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park have teamed up with seven other Northern Virginia localities to form the Northern Virginia Economic Development Alliance (NOVA EDA).

Prince William County Planning Office will hold a third community meeting on the implementation of the Rural Preservation Study. The meeting will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, which is located at 10960 George Mason Circle in Manassas. A recap of previous meetings' discussions and presentation of the staff recommendation will be made.

Prince William Conservation Alliance will host a community discussion of some development alternatives: conservation easements, transfer of development rights and purchase of development rights with three speakers Sept. 30 at Guiseppe's Restaurant, 5120 Washington Street, in Haymarket beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.

Chris Price, a Deputy County Executive for Prince William, will become City Manager for the City of Chesapeake, VA, according to a report in the Virginian Pilot newspaper on Sept. 11.

Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified the man killed in the early morning shooting Aug. 29 that occurred in the area of Bel Air Rd & Jeffries Rd in Woodbridge.

Attorney General Mark R. Herring has secured a default judgment against James R. Clore, Jr., Access Mobility Equipment, LLC, and 2911 Mobility, LLC, for defrauding elderly and disabled consumers out of thousands of dollars they paid for the installation and delivery of mobility aids and equipment, according to a news release from the Attorney General's office.

On August 29 at 1:06AM, officers responded to the area of Bel Air Rd and Jeffries Rd in Woodridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they located an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Riders on the bus reported to police that a gun shot was heard on the bus at the stop located at Old Bridge Rd. and Titania Way. After the shot was heard, the driver proceeded to the next bus stop for safety and contacted police.
