Gunshot heard on bus in Lake Ridge; bus seat and window damaged

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On August 27 at 6:30PM, officers responded to the area of Old Bridge Rd. and Old Bridge Ln. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shooting that occurred on a PRTC bus.

Other riders on the bus reported to police that a gun shot was on the bus at the stop located at Old Bridge Rd. and Titania Way. After the shot was heard, the driver proceeded to the next bus stop for safety and contacted police.

Prior to officers arriving that the location, an unknown man was seen quickly exiting the bus and carrying a small backpack. No injuries were reported. Damage was located to a seat and window in the rear of the bus, near where the suspect was sitting. The investigation continues.

Suspect Description:
A black male, approximately 25 years old with short black hair, a moustache, a short beard and a tattoo on his left forearm
Last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, carrying a black backpack, khaki shorts and white sneakers
