Virginia Department of Corrections reports it is is beginning an ambitious new plan to make the state prison system more responsive to the needs of female offenders. From trauma-informed care to peer support and specialized programming, the new plan aims to meet the unique needs of female offenders.

On September 18, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Special Victims Unit concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence in the Manassas area of Prince William County between January 2015 and December 2016.

On September 16 at 9:56PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5900 block of Talmadge Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic.

On September 17 at 10:54PM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to a residence located in the 11900 block of Holly View Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic with weapons.

On September 17, detectives from the Homicide Unit developed additional information regarding the murder that occurred in the 16900 block of Porters Inn Dr. in Dumfries (22026) on the evening of September 16.
