“As encouraging as it is to see fewer traffic deaths this July 4 holiday weekend compared to last year, Virginians still cannot let their guard down when it comes to traffic safety,” said Colonel Gary T. Settle, Virginia State Police Superintendent.

The Virginia Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine was established in 2019 to slow the spread of this invasive insect pest to un-infested areas of the Commonwealth. The quarantine also helps businesses avoid additional restrictions that could be placed on the movement of products from spotted lanternfly infested areas to states and regions where the insect has not been detected.

Helix Electric, 9555 Discovery Blvd., Manassas, invites members of the community to give blood 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13. Inova Blood Donor Services Bloodmobile will be located in the training room.
