PWC Police report for July 14, 2022 - Assault by mob charged in police incident

Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer for the Prince William County Police Department, reports the following incidents and arrests on July 14, 2022:

INCIDENTS
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm –
On July 14, 2022 at 12:28AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 3300 block of Brahms Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Residents reported to police several shots were heard before two vehicles sped out of the area. Upon arriving in the area, officers located several shell casings in the roadway. During a canvas of the area, officers located a residence with damage consistent with being struck by a projectile. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.

ARRESTS
• Malicious Wounding | Assault by Mob –
On July 12 at 10:40PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Summerland Heights Apartments located in the 13500 block of Cridercrest Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. Upon arriving at the apartment, officers heard yelling coming from inside and made contact with the occupants. The investigation revealed a male acquaintance, identified as Shahid ONQUE, made entry into the apartment via the balcony.
Once inside the residence, the ONQUE suspect allowed a second male acquaintance, identified as Darnell HATCHER, into the apartment. While inside the apartment, a verbal altercation escalated physically between the two men and three occupants of the apartment.
At one point, one of the occupants of the apartment, a 38-year-old woman, attempted to contact police when the HATCHER suspect knocked the phone from her hands. When officers arrived, the parties were still actively fighting and did not separate until the police made contact. All three occupants of the apartment reported injuries. Following the investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of malicious wounding, 2 counts of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, and 1 count of assault by mob

• Malicious Wounding – On July 13 at 4:00PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Montclair Family Restaurant located at 17001 Dumfries Rd. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a fight with weapons, said MPO Carr.  The investigation revealed an employee and patrons were involved in a verbal altercation.
At one point, the employee contacted an acquaintance, identified as Joshua Scott FITZPATRICK, who came to the establishment where he confronted the patrons in the parking lot. During the encounter, one of the patrons, identified as Timothy Hobert NOLTON, retrieved a machete and struck FITZPATRICK.
A separate altercation then broke out in the parking lot between the initial employee and a patron identified as a 38-year-old woman who had accompanied NOLTON. During that encounter, FITZPATRICK retrieved a hammer and struck the female patron. All parties eventually separated. The NOLTON suspect left the scene prior to police arriving at the location. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, both men were arrested.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On July 12, 2022 at 11:02PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Quality Inn located at 1109 Horner Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 32-year-old man, and an acquaintance were inside a room with two women they met earlier that evening.
During the encounter, a verbal altercation ensued between the victim and the two women before one of them, identified as Tamia Monique MAXWELL, struck the victim and took his property. After the assault, an unidentified black male who was known to the women entered the room where more money was demanded from the victim and his acquaintance. The suspects left the room with an undisclosed amount of money and the victims’ cell phones.
While investigating the incident, officers located both women nearby and detained them without incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, Tamia Monique MAXWELL, and the second woman, identified as Danielle Letitia GRANT, were arrested. The investigation continues as officers attempt to identify and locate the male suspect.
