A public information meeting about the Route 28 Corridor Feasibility Study will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Manassas Park Community Center, 99 Adams St. in Manassas Park, and from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, at the Centreville Elementary School at 14330 Green Trails Blvd. in Centreville. A short project overview will begin at 7 p.m. at each venue.

Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ (VDACS) has confirmed a diagnosis of Equine Herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) on a second farm in Virginia, unrelated to the first farm where the disease was found.

Based upon the investigation, detectives from the Prince William County Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified the victim as Miguel Angel RUIZ CARRILLO, 18, of Alexandria. The victim was previously reported as missing and endangered by Fairfax County Police on August 8.

On August 22 at 3:39PM, officers responded to the 12700 block of Aden Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a found child. The investigation revealed that a 10-year-old boy knocked on the front door of the caller’s home and asked for food. The child appeared to be suffering from injuries to his body along with his clothes being dirty and in disrepair.
