County police report man shot in Bristow and man stabbed in Woodbridge Monday night Aug. 28

Shooting Investigation – On August 28 at 11:00PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Linton Hall Rd and Nokesville Rd in Bristow (20136) to investigate a possible shots fired call. When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body between the Cube Smart Storage facility and the Sheetz.

The victim, identified as an 18-year-old man of Manassas, was flown to an area hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. The initial investigation revealed that the victim responded to the area where he was involved in an altercation with several suspects. During the encounter, the victim was shot. After the shooting, the suspects fled the area. At this point, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Stabbing Investigation – On August 28 at 10:29PM, Prince William County Policeofficers responded to investigate a stabbing which allegedly occurred in the 14200 block of Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 24-year-old man of Woodbridge, was walking in the above area when he was assaulted by an unknown man.

When the victim confronted the suspect, the victim was stabbed in the lower body. The victim later responded to a local hospital with minor injuries and the police were contacted. The victim was uncooperative with officers during the investigation. No suspect description is available at this time.
