Boy, 8, safe, man, 55, dead in Sept. 10 domestic dispute case in Dale City

On Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at 2:23AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) for reports of a domestic dispute. While enroute, officers received information that shots may have been fired in the residence and that there were injuries, said Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.

Annual Catholic Mass for Military and First Responders on Sept. 12

On Sunday, Sept. 12, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge, Catholic Diocese of Arlington, will celebrate the Sixth Annual Mass for Military and First Responders at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 3700 Old Lee Hwy., in Fairfax.

18-year-old arrested on nine series of burglaries

On September 4, the suspect sought in connection to the series of commercial burglaries and attempted burglaries which were reported to have occurred in the Dumfries (22025) and Woodbridge (22193) areas on the morning of August 2, was arrested. Members of the Fairfax County Police Department located the suspect, Davian Malik MCKINNIE, and took him into custody.

Moped, generator and RV reported missing by Gainesville homeowner

Moped, a generator, an Outback RV, and two car batteries were reported missing.were reported missing in a burglary in Gainesville Sept. 3.

Suspect identified in Florida Avenue shooting on Aug. 26

During the investigation into the shooting that was reported to have occurred in the 1600 block of Florida Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) on Friday, Aug. 26, 2021, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau identified the suspect as Zeven Raamel DEYO and obtained warrants for his arrest.

Firearms involved in four weekend incidents

In one incident, several rounds struck the front of the home and multiple rounds entered the home. In three other incidents victims told police a gun was brandished.

Amazon said to be setting up a delivery station in Stafford in September

According to the weekly business news magazine, Virginia Business, Amazon.com Inc. has announced it plans to open a 200,000-square-foot delivery station in Stafford County in September.

Virginians are urged to prepare for brunt of hurricane season and check for flood insurance coverage

The Atlantic hurricane season continues through Nov. 30. Conditions still exist for an above-average hurricane season, according to the annual mid-season update from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Climate Prediction Center, a division of the National Weather Service. There’s still time to obtain flood insurance coverage before the end of the season, says the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) that oversees flood protection in Virginia.
