Annual Catholic Mass for Military and First Responders on Sept. 12
On Sunday, Sept. 12, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge, Catholic Diocese of Arlington, will celebrate the Sixth Annual Mass for Military and First Responders at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 3700 Old Lee Hwy., in Fairfax.
The Mass, from 11 a.m. to noon, will be held in conjunction with the 20th anniversary commemorating the terror attacks of 9/11 and will be hosted by the Fr. Walter F. Malloy Assembly #1894 of the Knights of Columbus. A reception will follow in the gym.
It is an opportunity to pray for, honor and thank those serving on the front lines to protect us both here and abroad.
Military personnel and first responders are invited to attend in dress uniform with their families.
