On August 25 at 3:11PM, officers responded to the Westgate Plaza located at 8025 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault.

Betty DeVane Covington and John Harper, both of whom are former Prince William County School Board members, expressed thanks to the hundreds who filled the Covington-Harper Elementary School gymnasium in the Potomac Shores community in Dumfries on Aug. 24. On August 19 at 2:50AM, officers responded to the 1300 block of East Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a carjacking. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 66-year-old man, responded to the area for a taxi fare when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men brandished a firearm as they removed the victim from the taxicab. The suspects then struck the victim on the head with the firearm and demanded his property, according to PWC police.
