Prince William Health District (PWHD) is reducing the delivery of some of its services and consolidating most of them at the Woodbridge Clinic. These actions are a result of a shortage of nurses and continued inability to fill many nursing staff positions.

Chief Barry M. Barnard has announced the promotion of Major Jarad L. Phelps to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and his appointment as Deputy Chief effective Nov. 9, 2019. Phelps is a native of Prince William County and has 23 years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career with the Prince William County Police Department in 1996 as a patrol officer.

The Prince William Department of Fire and Rescue and the members of the Fire and Rescue System have begun collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. This year’s event will run through Dec. 14. New and unwrapped toys can be dropped at any Prince William County, City of Manassas Park or Manassas City fire station.
