Police Chief Barry Barnard names new deputy chief

Chief Barry M. Barnard has announced the promotion of Major Jarad L. Phelps to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and his appointment as Deputy Chief effective Nov. 9, 2019. Phelps is a native of Prince William County and has 23 years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career with the Prince William County Police Department in 1996 as a patrol officer.

Drop off “Toys for Tots” at PWC-Manassas-ManassasPark fire stations

The Prince William Department of Fire and Rescue and the members of the Fire and Rescue System have begun collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. This year’s event will run through Dec. 14. New and unwrapped toys can be dropped at any Prince William County, City of Manassas Park or Manassas City fire station.
