Drop off “Toys for Tots” at PWC-Manassas-ManassasPark fire stations

The Prince William Department of Fire and Rescue and the members of the Fire and Rescue System have begun collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. This year’s event will run through Dec. 14. New and unwrapped toys can be dropped at any Prince William County, City of Manassas Park or Manassas City fire station.

Holiday fireworks Nov. 18 at Virginia Gateway in Gainesville

Eighth graders design and build roller coaster at Kings Dominion

Rippon Middle School eighth grade students had the chance to participate in Kings Dominion’s Coaster Mania competition where they designed and built a gravity coaster of their own. The coasters are on display for all park visitors to see.

Man, woman charged with child neglect involving baby

On January 10 at 11:12PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a parking lot located in the 14400 block of Gideon Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a child neglect. The investigation revealed that the driver and the occupant of the vehicle were under the influence of alcohol and suspected narcotics. An 11-month-old boy was also inside of the vehicle and was not injured.
