The Coalition to Protect Prince William County, with American Battlefield Trust and other plaintiffs, reports that it will be holding a press conference at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024 to discuss their legal action on the Digital Gateway Project as a follow up to the December 11, 2023 press conference.

Governor Glenn Youngkin announced Jan. 11, 2024 that Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals for water-intensive industries, will invest $193 million to expand its operation in the City of Suffolk.

Amy Ashworth, Commonwealth’s Attorney, said “Animal cruelty is a serious offense that will not be tolerated in our community. My office remains committed to vigorously prosecuting individuals who engage in such reprehensible acts, seeking justice for the helpless victims who cannot speak for themselves."

Leaders of 35 non-profit organizations in Northern Virginia visited Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (SNVMC) Dec. 8 for a Community Partner Celebration. The event recognized local service groups that are changing lives every day and tackling community disparities. In 2021-23 Sentara has donated $2 million+ to aid these groups in their work.

Prince William County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to the 8400 block of Impalla Drive in Manassas at 1:44 p.m. Dec. 5 for a reported house fire. Crews arrived with fire showing from a single-family home.

On November 13, 2023, the suspect sought in connection with child neglect that was reported to have occurred at to a residence located in the 10200 block of Balls Ford Rd. in Manassas (20109) on November 12, was arrested, according to a Prince William County Police report.

Meembers of the community are invited to join the Prince William Board of County Supervisors and others in a remembrance ceremony to honor and remember those who served in our nation’s armed services on Nov. 9 at 10 a.m.

On October 20, 2023 Prince William County Police officers concluded an investigation into a domestic dispute that was reported to have occurred in the area of Centreville Rd. and Rugby Rd. in Manassas (20111) on September 8 at 7:05PM.
