The investigation revealed a man, later identified as the accused, was lying on a public bench in the area of the area of the Prince William Pkwy near Marblestone Dr. in Woodbridge when he fired a round from a handgun, striking his foot. The accused was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
