Prince William County Schools joins our community in grieving the tragic loss of Officer Ashley Guindon, and hoping for the speedy recovery of Officers Jesse Hempen and David McKeown.

In response to the outpouring of generosity from friends around the world, the Prince William County Police Association has created an account for anyone that wishes to donate money to the family in memory of Officer Ashley Guindon.

An estimated 1,000 people turned out at the Prince William County Government Complex in Woodbridge VA the night of Sunday, Feb. 28, to pay tribute to Prince William County Police Officer Ashley Guindon, who was shot and killed on Saturday, Feb. 27, while responding to a domestic-related shooting in Woodbridge near the county complex.

It is with profound sadness that the Prince William County Police Department announced at 10:39 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, that Prince William County Police Officer Ashley Guindon, one of the officers involved in a domestic related shooting on Lashmere Ct, Woodbridge, has died as a result of her injuries.

Prince William County police officers were injured at the scene of a domestic related shooting which occurred in the 13000 Lashmere Ct in Woodbridge. A subject is in custody, accorrding to Sgt. Jonathan Perok in a report at 7:37 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.

On February 19, detectives from the Homicide Unit received a positive identification on the victim in connection to the murder investigation from January 13 after remains were located in a wooded area on Barrett Dr in Manassas. Following the investigation, three arrests, including two juveniles, were made on February 19.
