Police report assaults and woundings Feb. 19-21

Among arrests appearing on the Prince William County VA Police Department’s report on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 were these:

**ARRESTS**

Reckless Endangerment | Abduction – On February 21 at 4:31PM, officers responded to area of the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The caller reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in an ongoing verbal dispute. As the accused was driving in the above area, he saw the caller riding in a vehicle being driven by the victim, a 61 year old man of Woodbridge. The accused then drove head on into the victim’s vehicle causing minor damage. At that point, the accused got out of the vehicle and began punching the victim in the head as he was sitting in the driver’s seat. The victim was able to retrieve a box cutter and cut the accused in the face stopping the assault. The accused fled the area and responded to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries where officers responded and detained the accused without further incident. Further investigation found that the vehicle driven by the accused was occupied by a 2 year old boy, a 9 year old girl, and a 10 year old boy, who were not injured. Minor injuries were reported by the victim.  Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on February 21:
Andres Camilo VILLEGAS TORRES, 34, of 7700 Havenbrook Way in Springfield
Charged with 3 counts of reckless endangerment, 1 count of abduction, 1 count of assault & battery, and 1 count of felony hit and run

Malicious Wounding – On February 20 at 11:41PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1900 block of Stevens Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 32 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused held the victim down and struck her in the face multiple times. The victim was eventually able to get away from the accused and contact police. Officers arrived and detained the accused without further incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Dimas RIVERA, 41, of the 1900 block of Stevens Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding and domestic assault & battery

Malicious Wounding – On February 20 at 1:49AM, officers responded to a business located in the 2800 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 34 year old man old Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, an unknown man, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim with his vehicle in the parking lot as the victim was walking away from the area. Police were contacted and detained the accused without further incident. While speaking to the accused, officers determined that he was intoxicated. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Michael Paul HERMAN, 33, OF 13304 Alison St in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding and driving under the influence

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 19 at 9:20PM, officers responded to an apartment located on the 16900 block of Porter’s Inn Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic. Officers arrived and made contact with all the involved parties. During the investigation, the accused, an uninvolved party, arrived and walked into the apartment. Once inside the apartment, the accused refused to leave. The accused then pushed an officer and began walking toward one of the parties involved in the domestic. When the officers attempted to arrest the accused, he resisted but was quickly detained without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Andre Bernard MOORE, Jr., 20, of 16700 Harwood Oaks Ct Apt 302 in Dumfries
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, obstruction of justice, and resisting arrest
