Manassas City Police made another arrest as part of “Operation Broken Heart”, a collaborative effort that involves local, state, and federal authorities targeting sexual predators and traffickers during April and May of 2015.

Today, May 17, marks the 27th anniversary of the filing of a missing persons report on Jerry D. Plaster who was last seen on April 16, 1988. Plaster, age 27 at the time he disappeared, left his home to go to Manassas Mall and has not been seen since. He would be 54 now. Anyone with information is asked to call Manassas City Police at 703-257-8092.

el. Richard L. Anderson (Colonel, U.S. Air Force, Retired), will present the Congressional Gold Medal posthumously to surviving family members of Mr. Albert L. Jones, Sr., of Manassas, who served during World War II as a wartime member of the Auxiliary of the U.S. Army Air Forces, the Civil Air Patrol (CAP).

A new HMart supermarket, opened to shoppers at 9:30 this morning, April 25, in the space at Manassas Junction formerly occupied by Giant Food. The new store stocks lots of fresh produce and fresh seafood and many traditional grocery items. Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
