Suspicious Event
At approximately 7:25PM on August 11, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a citizen at Manassas Cinema (8890 Mathis Ave) in reference to a suspicious event. The reporting party told officers that she was in the area of Mathis Ave and Reb Yank Dr walking towards Manassas Shopping Center when she observed a black SUV that appeared to be following her.  The vehicle then pulled up beside her and the driver asked where she was going and offered her a ride.  The female continued walking and noticed the vehicle again at the 7-Eleven at 9166 Mathis Ave before returning safely home.
Description of driver: Hispanic male in his thirties, heavy-set, with a thick accent and beard

Vandalism to Auto
On August 11, 2015, Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 9800 block of Town Ln for a report of a vandalism to auto.  The reporting party told officers that sometime between 7:30PM on August 10th and 3:50AM on August 11th, both rear tires on his vehicle had been slashed and deflated.  Damages were estimated at $200.00.

Vandalism to Auto
On August 10, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the 9073 block of Euclid Ave for a report of a vandalism to auto.  The reporting party told officers that between 12:30PM on August 8th and 7:30AM on August 10th, someone broke out the driver’s side passenger window of a customer’s vehicle belonging to Manassas Park City Schools.  Damages were estimated at $200.00.

Shots Fired
At approximately 5:40PM on August 10, 2015, Manassas City Police responded to the area of Battery Heights Blvd and Cannoneer Ct for a report of shots fired.  Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by multiple witnesses who reported hearing gunshots and seeing two black males running on Cannoneer Ct.  Investigation revealed this was an isolated incident and a dispute between two parties.
Arrested: Juan Carlos Arroyo (19) of 10651 Blendia Lane, Manassas, Virginia 20109. He was charged with Discharging a Firearm within City limits and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
