Parents are reminded that students entering sixth grade in Prince William County Public Schools this fall must present proof that they have had a tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) booster shot within the past five years.
Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC), the public transportation provider for Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, will implement bus service changes and increase fares on July 6, 2015. Service changes are in eastern Prince William.

Rarely do we consider these fireworks as harmful even deadly; yet, fireworks are one of the biggest fire dangers to people and property. In a typical year, there are more U.S. fires reported on Independence Day than on any other day, accounting for 2 out 5 fires, more than any other cause of fires.
Schools must apply by July 10 for students to work on projects that would be hands-on experience generating electricity from the sun. Four schools will be selected to receive solar panels. Pilot program includes educational materials and special training for teachers.
Route 28 (Nokesville Road) between Bristow Village Boulevard and Battalion Square will be closed in both directions Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights so that crews can install a storm sewer line, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
