PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
Governor Terry McAuliffe announced June 15 that Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, or SCID, will be one of the disorders that every Virginia-born infant is screened for. The disease, which is fatal if not detected early, affects approximately one out of every 50,000 live births.
VDOT will host a “Pardon Our Dust” meeting Wednesday, June 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Chorus Room at Brentsville District High School, 12109 Aden Road in Nokesville. The Brentsville Road closure will last for the duration of the $2.8 million project, which is scheduled for completion in December.
Schools will open August 31 with a full two-week winter break, and school ending June 17, 2016.
Prince William County Public Schools will continue to lead the fight in the prevention of teen trafficking, thanks to continuing support from the Potomac Health Foundation.

Latin is flourishing in Prince William County Schools. As evidenced by student performance and participation in this year’s National Latin Exam, Virginia Junior Classical League, and the Medusa Mythology Exam, the language shows no signs of extinction.
Virginia Association of Museums is encouraging museums, libraries, archives, and historic sites across Virginia and Washington, DC to nominate items from their collections for the fifth annual Virginia's Top 10 Endangered Artifacts program by June 22.
Virginia Department of Education’s Virtual Virginia program will pilot a full-time, online high school for the 2015-2016 school year. The pilot will offer all required core academic courses and electives necessary to earn a Standard or Advanced Studies diploma.
