All Prince William County Public Schools will be closed Monday, March 2, 2015 due to weather advisories for icy roads and surfaces in certain areas.
Prince William SPCA invites the community to come out for a special town hall meeting to discuss the Prince William County Animal Shelter on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 PM in Chinn Library’s Community Room.
While sleet and freezing rain taper off overnight, Virginia Department of Transportation crews will continue to treat northern Virginia roads with salt and sand into the Monday morning rush hour. VDOT asks drivers to remain mindful of icy conditions, to be cautious, stay alert and to allow some extra time for their a.m. commutes.
All Prince William County Public Schools will open two hours late due to weather-related conditions, including refreezing and likely icy areas.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)has postponed a “pardon our dust” meeting Feb. 26 on a project to construct a ductbank that will carry new undergrounded utilities along Route 1 between Mary’s Way and Annapolis Way. When the meeting is rescheduled, residents can meet the project team to learn more about construction and traffic impacts expected to begin in March.

Margaret Mitchell McLeod Price, a teacher at Stonewall Middle School (now Unity Braxton) in Manassas for 26 years until her retirement in 1999, died Jan. 26, 2024. She was an avid traveler and had visited 49 states and numerous foreign countries.
