Food now being collected for Prince William area Thanksgiving baskets

Donations of non-perishable food for community Thanksgiving baskets are now being accepted at participating schools. Nonprofit organizations will pick up the food Nov. 13 and distribute the baskets prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. The deadline for food donation delivery to schools is Nov.12.

PWCS welcomes 650 new teachers

Some 650 teachers joined Prince William County Schools’ ranks for the 2011-12 school year. Some just graduated from college, others have taught for years elsewhere and still others have had careers in other professions but are joining the ranks of the teachers in the county.

Viewing Sept. 30, funeral Oct. 1 for Carolyn Gregg, who worked for Prince William County Public Schools for 48 years. She passed away the week of Sept. 23, 2018. She served in the Office of Student Learning and retired from the School Division on October 1, 2012.
