Anglers beware: DGIF issues advisory on websites claiming to sell Virginia fishing licenses

DGIF reminds anglers that http://www.GoOutdoorsVA.com and www.dgif.virginia.gov are the only official websites to purchase Virginia fishing and hunting licenses and permits. DGIF said in a news release that some of the sites it is aware of customers have reported completing transactions believing they were buying a license or permit, when, in fact, they purchased an informational guide.

PRTC awarded $3.6 million FTA grant to buy six new commuter buses; delivery expected in 2019

Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) has been selected by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to receive a $3.6 million grant to purchase six new OmniRide commuter buses, according to a PRTC news release. The grant award will enable PRTC to replace six older OmniRide commuter buses that have exceeded their useful life. There are 125 buses in the fleet.
