Prince William County Schools has announced appointment of administrators in eastern Prince William County.
Attorney Gen. Mark Herring says, ""Virginia law expressly limits who may possess firearms on school grounds for safety purposes, and the General Assembly declined to enact bills presented every year from 2013 through 2017 to extend this authority to school teachers and administrators."
Congressman Gerald E. Connolly (D-VA), Vice Ranking Member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, has released a new congressional report that found the Republican tax law will disproportionately hurt Northern Virginia homeowners, especially those with home equity loans.
Look for future new industrial sites, broadband access, clean energy development, tourism, and agriculture in southwest Virginia as a result of a $10 million pilot federal grant program which was part of the federal Omnibus Funding Bill passed in May.
State Corporation Commission (SCC) in Richmond says it has scheduled an April 30, 2019 hearing to consider Washington Gas' request to increase rates for natural gas customers in Northern Virginia and upper Shenandoah service areas. In the meantime, the SCC news release says that by law, the gas company can increase rates on an interim basis beginning Jan. 2, 2019.
