PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

On Feb.10 at 1:05AM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to the Days Inn located at 7249 New Market Ct. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic.

On Feb. 8 at 9:03PM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence located in the 14400 block of Independent Hill Dr. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a domestic.

MPO Renee Carr, public information officer for the Prince William County Police Department, reports the Feb. 9 arrest of a suspect sought in connection to the Feb. 1 assault that was reported to have occurred at the Motel 6 located at 17133 Dumfries Rd. in Dumfries (22026).

"Accumulating snow or ice could result in trees falling on power lines and causing power outages," said Dan Swingle, vice president of NOVEC system operations. "Our crews, utility trucks, and our 24-hour operations center are ready to respond..."

Police found a 20-year-old Dumfries man with a gunshot wound dead in a car after a hang-up 9-1-1 call Feb. 7. Detectives are investigating.

A jacket, money, a bank card, and an identification card were reported missing in a Jan. 25 burglary at the Dumfries Econo-Lodge.

On Jan. 20, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit concluded the investigation into the robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Sheetz located 3300 Noble Pond Way in Woodbridge (22193) on Jan. 7. During the investigation, detectives determined that the vehicle used in the robbery was reported stolen from Maryland. Shortly after, detectives began coordinating Maryland law enforcement officials.

The investigation revealed that the accused and the juvenile were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the accused grabbed the juvenile.
