PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

Through a partnership with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, First Sgt. Perok reports that an additional $5,000 reward is being offered in connection to the arrest and conviction of the accused. The PWC Police Department is also offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.

Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau have identified the suspect sought in connection to the shooting that occurred at the athletic fields of Benton Middle School located at 7411 Hoadly Rd. in Manassas (20112) on May 1.

Prince William County says it wants "to educate, advocate and dispel myths and stigma around mental illness." An awareness event is planned for Sunday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. when residents are invited to take out their running or walking shoes and join in a county-wide Mental Health Walk during Mental Health Awareness Month.

The Prince William County Arts Council invites the community to attend Poetry and Music Out Loud and In The Park: A Black Music Month Celebration on Sunday, June 5 from 3 - 7 PM at the Jean C. Volunteers at the National Law Enforcement Museum are still needed during National Police Week 2022 which takes place Wednesday, May 11 through Sunday, May 15. Volunteer shifts are assigned within the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
