PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

On May 10, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau identified two suspects sought in connection to the fatal shooting that occurred in the area of the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14000 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155) on May 8. One of the suspects is a juvenile.

Manassas City Police responded to the 8600 block of Stonewall Road (Life First Va.) in the City of Manassas for a reported vandalism involving graffiti.

Prince William County Police report incidents and arrests.

The suspect did not speak to either victim during the two separate encounters. Detectives with the Special Victims Bureau are actively investigating the incidents and are seeking to speak with anyone who may have seen the suspect in the area at the time of the assaults who matched the provided description.

Through a PWCPD partnership with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), a $5,000 reward is being offered in connection with the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved. The Prince William County Police Department is also offering up to an additional $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.

On Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 1:58AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a shooting that was reported to have occurred in the area of the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14000 block of Deming Dr. in Gainesville (20155) an hour prior.

Earlier this morning, Sunday, May 8, at 3:39 AM Prince William fire & rescue units were dispatched to the 15000 block of Lee Highway (Gainesville) for a reported house fire by a passerby, according to Deputy Fire Chief Matt Smolsky.
